Cranky Kraken Games was founded by Ivo Neskovic, lead designer of Monsters on Board and Computer Science Lecturer at the University of York. The new edition brings the game to a publisher with its designer at the helm.
A thoughtful rebuild
We are rebuilding the experience around the design players already enjoyed—refining the rules, improving clarity and usability, evolving and expanding the gameplay, introducing modular content, and rethinking the production.
We are preserving what made Monsters on Board special while giving it the care and finish it always deserved. This is not simply a reprint. It is a thoughtful rebuild.
